Why is there no sound from the microphone?

The performance will encounter problems such as the sound of the microphone intermittently when the radio frequency signal (RF) is full, a lot of noise will be generated after the transmitter is turned off, and the transmitter and receiver frequencies are adjusted to correspond to the problem. The following is a detailed answer for you.

Why does my microphone sound intermittently when the radio frequency signal (RF) is full?

Why is there a lot of noise after turning off the transmitter?

Why is there no sound when the frequencies of my transmitter and receiver are adjusted to correspond?

These questions are often asked by some users, and even some of them are considered to be defective microphones and returned to our repair center, especially in the first generation of the Revolution series. Here I explain in detail the squelch value (SQUELCH) of the wireless microphone receiver. The first generation and G2 EW100 are only marked with the abbreviation SQELCH due to display limitations. Some places are abbreviated as SQ for convenience.

Squelch value: It uses a threshold circuit to squelch the noise. When the signal level reaches what intensity, the door is opened, and when the signal level is lower than this value, the door is closed. The noise level in the received signal is equal to the squelch value. Inverse relationship. Setting the squelch value too high may not receive useful weak signals, and too low may cause interference from noise and other useless signals. The higher the noise, the weaker the noise; the lower the noise, the stronger the noise. For the first generation of Sennheiser Revolution series, the squelch value is set from 0dB-40dB. The larger the number and the higher the level, the stronger the suppression of noise and the less interference from noise or other irrelevant signals, but the harder it is to receive the signal that needs to be received by the transmitter. Conversely, the smaller the number, the lower the level, the weaker the suppression of noise suppression, the greater the interference from noise and other useless signals, and the easier it is to receive weak signals from the transmitter. If the receiver is adjusted to 0dB, it indicates that there is no squelch suppression function, and the receiving distance can reach the farthest, but when the transmitter is turned off, a lot of noise and other useless signals will directly enter the receiver, and the tuning station. Many users accidentally press the squelch value to this position, which causes background noise. When the user adjusts the receiver squelch value to 40dB, the squelch level reaches the highest level, and when the emission level intensity does not reach the squelch threshold value, there will be no sound or the sound is intermittent. Therefore, users are not recommended to set these two limits. The second generation of Revolution is to avoid user mis-setting, only three files are set in the design: low, mid, hig, which reduces the user's improper operation during use. Brings convenience to users. Of course, the natural enemy of wireless microphones is interfered. I will continue to analyze some of the problems that need to be paid attention to when using G2, or when users encounter any problems when using wireless microphones, we can discuss together. I am in the "Approach to Professional Wireless Microphones". There are also some issues involved in this post, but it was rather long-winded.
